Step in off the street and the city goes quiet. Exposed stone and brick, dark reclaimed timber, Edison bulbs throwing everything amber, and deep leather Chesterfields that were built for lingering.
Grab a window stool for a quick one to take away, or disappear into a corner with a laptop, a book and a rose hot chocolate. There's always something warm on the record player, and no one's going to rush you out the door.
We've three of them now: two wee dens in Edinburgh and a new room on 7th Avenue in Manhattan. All three run on the same idea: come as you are, stay as long as you like.
